Microneedling

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment using fine needles to stimulate the skin’s natural healing and self-repairing process. This leads to enhanced collagen production, resulting in the treatment and improvement of fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation (from sunspots or melasma), skin laxity, and enlarged pores.

Microneedling is typically recommended in a series of 3 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. The use of PRF along with microneedling will enhance results by accelerating tissue repair and regeneration.  

WHAT IS PRF?

PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is derived from your own blood, making it 100% natural, free of additives, and packed with your own powerful cells for skin rejuvenation. Your provider will draw a sample of blood and use a centrifugation process to separate your plasma, platelets, and white blood cells form your red blood cells. Platelets and white blood cells are important producers of growth factors that are essential for collagen stimulation. Your PRF will then be delivered deep into the skin with microneedling and/or injected into the skin (such as the under-eye area) to stimulate your skin’s rejuvenation process.

Why is PRF considered more powerful than traditional PRP?

This second-generation concentrate does not require the use of any additive or anti-coagulant to unlock your body’s natural healing properties. • Avoid AHAs, BHAs, retinols, and self-tanning for 7 days prior to your appointment

• Avoid any waxing, hair removal, or hair bleaching for 7 days prior to your appointment

• Avoid UV or sun exposure for 14 days prior to your appointment

Post-Peel Instructions:

• Avoid AHAs, BHAs, and retinols for 7 days following your appointment

• Avoid waxing, hair removal, or hair bleaching for 7 days following to your appointment

• Avoid saunas, sunbeds, tanning, or self-tanning to treated area for 7 days following your appointment

• Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer. 

• After the treatment, it is utmost important to wear a high broad spectrum SPF cream to protect your skin from sun damage and maintain best results.

Contraindications

• Use of Retinoids/Tretinoin within 7 days prior to peel

• Pregnancy & breastfeeding

• Active bacterial, viral, or fungal infection

• Open wounds in the area of treatment

• Pre-existing inflammatory dermatosis (psoriasis/atopic dermatitis)

• Skin cancer, without being cancer free for a period of 3 years and direct written notice from your physician
